FOUND, SHARED: The Magazine Photowork

Artvehicle 15/Recommended

20th April 2007 — 17th June 2007

The joys of found photography continue. An odd book of pictures a taxi driver took of his Mercedes and his faithful lady customer on holiday. Watchtowers, Model submarines in a boating pond and ephemera from Ohio magazine, and at the end of the gallery, great pictures of a man with his arms in a cow's mouth and other mad shots from Useful Photography Magazine, and great big show 'n' tell wall with all kinds of stuff from found magazine complete with notes from the finders that you can touch 'n' feel scratch 'n' sniff at your leisure without being scolded by security. Look out for the best ever submission: a bag full of tiny 'messages to God' attached to small rocks for evangelical use. Fax your own found images to the gallery to be in Emblem magazine 020 7836 9704. On the stairs, Mary Pickering: Explosion. Colour photos of loud bangs by ammo companies, outlining how deadly and yet seductive weapons can be.
